Kim Dae Mum @ Le Meridian Kopitiam

This is the BEST korean food you can get at a foodcourt! ( happens to be run by my st nick sch mate's family...yes she's korean)

i'm not saying it's popular becos she was our sch mate. look at the queue!

YUMMMM! i salivate just by looking at this pic. the broiled mackerel & potato is scrumptious! (i wished they use radish instead of potato) food is generally value for money - you can have this meal for < $20. pancake is not quite as superb as the korean-run restaurant in Boat Quay. maybe becos it's a cheaper variant.

Le Petite @ Serene Centre

Lunched at Serene Centre after church service - looking for a light meal after a heavy b'fast. Le Petite is one of the most value for money french food around! Dine here instead of the crappy French stall in S'goon rd.

Duck Confit - the skin is actually crispy and nice. Quite good for the price. Portion is perfect only if you're having a light meal like what i'm looking for.

my hubby's ravioli. hmm i can't remember what type of ravioli this is....possibly spinach ravioli in cream sauce.

Rating: dd ( good value for french food, but small portions!)

Food Court @ Causeway Point

This is one of the best gyoza / chinese dumpling i've had:

it is pan fried with a layer of crust.....yum!

eat a gyoza with a little piece of crust for added enjoyment!

it's a tat expensive for a food court but totally worth it: 6 for $4.50 i think.

Just for laughs:
If you have seen the tissue paper reservations in Raffles Place, i bet you have not seen the umbrella reservations up north :) check this out!

Dian Xiao Er

the grazing lamb has stopped grazing for a year? hell no, but the lamb's been busy with her wedding preps, family issues and yes....FACEBOOOOOK! but finally's the lamb's back on the grazing track. here's a little backlog:

Went to vivocity with mum & aunt - we walked by Dian Xiao Er and the crispy herbal duck was waving to me by the glass window...my eyes spiraled into a trance and persuaded them to dine here. we ordered their set menu:

what else? but the duck that was waving at me :P one of the most consistent crispy duck! yummy!

spinach with 3 eggs. this is one of the thickest rendition of this classic dish! Too thick and strong for my liking.

Soup is comforting. Cannot go wrong.

Sliced fish is so-so. Nothing memorable.

How to improve this meal is to perhaps just chew on ONE duck - instead of paying for the set meal....LOL
