Beng Hiang @ Amoy Street

Felt greedy one day and decided to head to Beng Hiang for lunch. It's a very very old Hokkien restaurant, and the customers were mostly of the golden age. Asked some of my colleagues along - 7 of us in total. We ordered some specialties:

Ha Zor Ngor Hiang: Prawn roll & Ngor Hiang is so-so. Nice but average.

Crispy tofu with pork floss: Very nice, Crisp on the outside, very soft inside. Yum!

Oyster omelette: Very crispy egg & batter. Diff from usual egg omelette, you can't taste the chewy batter cos it's all crispy. Oysters are nicely done - succulent. But i don't quite fancy the sauce though. Still prefer the egg omelette from Old Airport...heh.

Hokkien fried Mee Sua: Quite nice.

Their famous Hokkien mee: quite nice too.

Stewed Pork buns: This is pretty good... i love the creamy fats from the stew pork. Yum! I miss my mum's stew pork buns. Heh, now she'll say it's unhealthy! haha.

Complimentary barley with gingko nuts and beancurd skin. Quite watery but still ok.
