Fortunate restaurant @ Thomson Plaza

My mum wanted to treat my aunt to dinner cos it's her bday that weekend, so she suggested to come to this restaurant. We like to frequent here for family dinners as it's not so crowded and they serve decent food at reasonable prices.

we'll always order some dim sum to chew on while waiting for the mains to be served.
i love their char siew puff and egg custard tart! Perfect! I could swallow a few at a go, but mum always say i eat too much and ended up too full for proper dinner.

For starter, we ordered something like Peking Duck roll, except it's some flaky savoury thing as a substitude for Peking Duck skin. Hmm, i still prefer the authentic version :)

The waitress wrap for us :) Nicely!

Stewed Tofu with Conpoy and golden mushrooms. I like this dish - tofu fresh and silky!

Pork ribs with apple sauce - i like this dish too. The sourish hint from the apple contrasts well with the savoury crispy pork. Thumbs up!

Steamed chicken: tastes quite different from the usual Hainanese boiled chicken. Very soft and tender.

Okay i didn't eat this but i saw this at the dim sum counter: it's the largest PAU i've even seen! Almost the size of my bf's niece's head! Contrast that to the egg tarts next to it! :P
